Has any Championship club had a better window than Fulham?

and we started with a squad that wasn't too shabby (for the Championship anyway).

  The Danger of Popularism
Posted by: Mr B P - 09-08-2019, 08:46 AM - Forum: Fulham and Football - Replies (18)

The Danger of Popularism

Trump and Johnson opposite sides of a poison coin
Popular with promise and fool people with fake results
A tweetafon of half-truths, lies and insults
Popularism has become loved as politicians are ineffective
The World is dying from our representative inaction
Poverty is greater than when Dickens was disgusted by it
The rich get richer and Trump and Johnson promise them more
If we had not had our revolution now would be an ideal springboard for one
The official opposition is led by a noble man with no leadership qualities
The Liberals have become a one issue party alienating half the population
The Bexit party is a new one issue party alienating half the population
We may leave Europe by a deception in the same way America will get its wall
The Russians after always being ruled by dictators got democracy
But that caused chaos, so they reverted to a dictator
Trump and Johnson would like the same result and may succeed
As the most dangerous aspect of popularism is people who break the rules
Can break any convention so the normal check and balance do not apply.
That can lead to single party government and the death of democracy.

We can still sign free agents. There are quite a few players released from the Prem who could do a decent job.

Michael Hector deal fell through at the last minute, while he was at the training ground apparently.  Win or lose we'll be seeing lots of goals this season.

SESSEGNON DELAY DENIED HECTOR MOVE

Reporter Dharmesh Sheth has been speaking on Sky Sports News about how Chelsea defender Michael Hector missed out on a move to Fulham because Tottenham's move for Ryan Sessegnon went too late in the day.

"Financial Fair Play restrictions meant signing Hector would have required Fulham to have sold Sessegnon, but there was a period in the afternoon where there was a stalemate in discussions with Fulham and Tottenham and at one point it looked like the deal might not go through.

"Tony Khan, the Fulham vice chairman, was even willing to let Sessegnon see out the rest of his contract and lose him for free next summer.

"Hector was wanted but that required Spurs’ deal to be concluded so the funds would be received. We were told this deal didn’t get finalised until after 3.30pm on Deadline Day, forcing the deal with Chelsea for Hector to be delayed, so Hector missed out on a move to Fulham.

"We understand that Hector might still join Fulham, but they will have to wait until January."

We need a CB, RB & DM. We got?

I would not be surprised if none of those areas were covered.

No replacement for Fredricks Zambo and any one of 3 poor CBs

Away Fan Preview - Fulham vs Rovers
Posted by: shadowmeister - 07-08-2019, 10:29 PM - Forum: Fulham and Football - Replies (11)

Greetings all... I come in peace (well mostly).

Rovers heading to London this weekend hoping to pull off the unthinkable by snagging a point or more on Saturday.  Not expecting an easy match, far from it, but hoping for at least a better performance from our shaky defense.  Both teams head into the clash with a defeat already on our records, and I am sure Fulham are expecting to make-a-mense this weekend and get their first points of the season.

https://youtu.be/dhqRKsR2x10

Earlier in the week I spoke with Matthew Baldwin and Fulham supporter for his take on this weekends match, as well as his hopes for the season as a whole.

Sky Sports reporting Sess deal to Spurs is close to completion.. At least the saga will be over. It may mean a couple of late punts by us tomorrow. God knows who though.

I feel sorry for Parker IF we bring in 4 players tomorrow

It could take him 8 or 9 games to find out his best side and by then he could be sacked
