The Danger of Popularism

Trump and Johnson opposite sides of a poison coin
Popular with promise and fool people with fake results
A tweetafon of half-truths, lies and insults
Popularism has become loved as politicians are ineffective
The World is dying from our representative inaction
Poverty is greater than when Dickens was disgusted by it
The rich get richer and Trump and Johnson promise them more
If we had not had our revolution now would be an ideal springboard for one
The official opposition is led by a noble man with no leadership qualities
The Liberals have become a one issue party alienating half the population
The Bexit party is a new one issue party alienating half the population
We may leave Europe by a deception in the same way America will get its wall
The Russians after always being ruled by dictators got democracy
But that caused chaos, so they reverted to a dictator
Trump and Johnson would like the same result and may succeed
As the most dangerous aspect of popularism is people who break the rules
Can break any convention so the normal check and balance do not apply.
That can lead to single party government and the death of democracy.
