They currently sit 1 point above the relegation zone and spent more than we did. On the flip side look at sheffield united who spent like 30 mil maybe?

There's certainly a way to do things and spending shitloads doesnt seem to be it.

Showing loyalty to the players who got you up is the starting point, buying only replacements for the obvious weaknesses and for back up players should be the limited of expenditure.

To be fair to Babel he made an impact with 5 goals and a few assists. It was just too little too late.

Actually I think Babel was our most 'cost effective' and successful signing last season.... excluding Mitro of course..

When we signed Babel for the first time we a player who looked Premier League class, another 10 players like him we might have stayed up.
